Here are some tips on how to get your jack-o-lantern ready in time for Halloween. Start
with a plan and proper supplies for a successful outcome. Sketch out your drawing of
what you want your jack-o-lantern to look like on a plain piece of paper or use a water
marker and draw on the pumpkin itself. If you do not have a pumpkin carving set now
is a great time to invest in one. Because the blades are small they work best on making
smaller cuts. When cutting around the top of the stem cut on an angle this will keep the
top from falling inside the pumpkin. Scoop out the inside of the pumpkin remove all
seeds. The seeds can be roasted if you like. A safe way to light your jack-o-lantern is to
use a flame less candle. Have fun, be safe and enjoy the season.
