Rug Tips

You have to consider many thing when getting a New Rug for your home!

Do you want to make a statement? then consider a large pattern or floral design this will make your rug the focal point of the room!

Use a Rug Liner  this will keep your rug from slipping around the room.

Do you have an open floor plan? if yes then you can use a rug to separate areas in your home.

Have more then one rug in a room? then make sure their different sizes and make sure the styles and color complement each other.

When buying a rug subtract 3 feet from the area of the room. You don't want the rug to take up the entire space of your room.

Whatever Rug you choose make sure you love it and that it will be a perfect match for your home!

Getting Your Patio Ready for Summer.

Summer is here! Time to turn on the BBQ's and relax outside. Here are some tips to get your patio ready for the summer!

1. Have Good Quality. Having a good quality piece its great because you won't have to buy new pieces every year. when you are buying outdoor furniture remember that it needs to stand up against the sun, rain and wind. So pick a piece that will last a couple seasons.

2. Bring on the Shade. During the Summer it can get pretty hot so having shade is a must. whether it be an umbrella or an old oak tree having shade will cool you down in the summer heat.

3. Always have a place to set your drink. Make sure you have a place to set your drink down like a coffee or end table.

4. Have Fun with colors. While you might want to keep your pieces a neutral color you have fun with pillows and accents to add some color to your outdoor furniture.

5. Place a rug down. Placing an outdoor rug can help your outdoor space seem cozy and relaxing also the rugs can keep your feet cool from the summer heat.

Have a Safe and fun Summer!

Choosing the Right Patio Umbrella

Summer is here! Get outside and enjoy the sun and warm weather! A patio umbrella is a great way to provide shade on a deck, patio, or yard. Perfect for when you need a break from the sun or want to sit down for a meal. There are tons of different of patio umbrella styles to choose from, but which one is right for you?

Pop Up or Cantilever
Pop Up’s are perfect for providing shade in the center of a table or in a free standing base over chaises. Cantilevers are becoming more and more popular because they offer a better aesthetic and are more convenient because the pole for the umbrella is set at the side of the umbrella allowing the umbrella to hangs over a table or seating group without a bulked poll in the middle.

Aluminum or Wood
Aluminum is the most common material used to make umbrella poles it is favorable because it is resistant to corrosion, so it can be left outside without fear of damage from the elements. However, a wood frame is popular due to its sophisticated appearance.

Umbrella Size
The average patio umbrella has a 8.5 feet span. When choosing an umbrella it is important that it extends beyond the table or seating group to ensure that everyone seated under the umbrella will be covered.

Patio umbrellas are meant to give shade and allow relief from the warm summer sunshine. When choosing a patio umbrella for your outdoor living space it is important to consider the amount of shade it will provide durability, aesthetic and style.
